1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Purrfect Strangers ('the Platform'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Platform Description
Purrfect Strangers is a social platform that allows cat owners to create profiles for their cats, browse other cat profiles, and connect with other cat owners. We are a platform only — we do not organize, supervise, or participate in any in-person meetups between users.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using Purrfect Strangers you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. The Platform is intended for use by humans on behalf of their cats. Cats may not create their own accounts, though we appreciate their enthusiasm.
4. User Conduct
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe on the rights of others. You agree not to post false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself or your cat. You agree not to harass, threaten, or harm other users. You agree not to use the Platform for any commercial solicitation without our express written consent.
5. In-Person Meetups
Purrfect Strangers facilitates connections between cat profiles. Any decision to meet another user in person is entirely voluntary and at your own risk. We strongly recommend following our Safety Guidelines before arranging any in-person meetup. Purrfect Strangers is not responsible for any interactions, incidents, or outcomes that occur outside of the Platform, including but not limited to any in-person meetings between users.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Purrfect Strangers and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, or from any interactions with other users on or off the Platform. Your use of the Platform is at your sole risk.
7. User Content
By posting content on the Platform including photos, bios, and other information, you grant Purrfect Strangers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform. You represent that you own or have the right to use all content you post. You retain ownership of your content.
8. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. We collect only the information necessary to operate the Platform and do not sell your personal data to third parties. A full Privacy Policy will be available prior to public launch. By using the Platform you consent to the collection and use of information as described herein.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Austin, Texas.
